Alina Sepeda L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., M.S.

Herbal Medicine

Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist

Alina’s mission is to bring Chinese herbs to as many people as possible. What a better way to do that in our modern age than the Internet. She created Alina Sepeda Herbal Medicine to not only give people valuable information about Chinese herbs, but also give them easy access to buy Chinese herbs online. As well, it can be intimidating trying to find an herbalist, so Alina has made herself available as your personal herbalist by offering online, phone, or Skype consultations. She has made addressing your health needs with Chinese herbs as easy as possible, which is important in today’s fast-paced society.

Integrative Medicine Practitioner

Alina believes the most effective medicine is integrative medicine by combining the strengths of both Chinese and Western medicine. She believes that in our modern society, it is the medicine that makes the most sense. She also believes that a better diet, better lifestyle choices, and moderate exercise can make a big difference towards achieving health. Alina would like to work with you to figure out the specific formula that works for your life so that you can bring your best self into this world each and every day.

Alina’s Journey

Alina Sepeda is a State Board and Nationally licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and integrative medicine practitioner. Alina graduated summa cum laude from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. During her course of study, but outside of school, she spent two and a half of those years independently studying under a Chinese medicine master.

While in college at Emory University in Atlanta, she taught preschool for autistic children. After college, she taught English to children in the Amazon jungle. And after returning to the states, she lived and worked with juvenile delinquents and emotionally troubled youth in the wilderness of northern Florida for three years rehabilitating them to be functioning members of society again.

But it was her work with an active travel company that took her to Costa Rica where she began to learn about how the people of Costa Rica use plants medicinally. She was fascinated, as she had always shunned the use of Western pharmaceuticals in her own life. Alina has since learned the importance of pharmaceuticals but believes that if Chinese herbs can accomplish the same results with no side effects, this is a better choice for the body.
